how ya all doing

hey ya all, how is everyone doing this fine day of may, did you know today is the actual true memorial day? or rememerance day as it was known for many years. i like a three day weekend as well as anyone else, but some days should be sacred. take the 4th of july would you ever think that to celebrate it say oh sept 16th would be good. of course not. its our nations birth and is where we celebrate our freedoms. although some kind of go over board. but i think some days like memorial day should be celebrated on memorial day. today as i fly my flag in pride and thankfullness, i ponder on how this country has gotten where we are today, i think about the libertys we all have, the right to vote, the right to bear arms, the right to have free speech just to name a few,. then we have those who do nothing but complain about this country, how its gone to the dogs, ( please lets not insult the dogs) well
i agree things are bad, but not so bad that it can not be turned around. when we get a rip in our jeans, we patch it up or throw it away or do what i do and make cut offs shorts saving me the need to have to buy those for spring and summer. my point is this country can be saved and its going to tae the hard work of everyone involved. oh can't do heavy work? HA, there is no one who can't pic a phone up and call the police when they see a drug deal going down or domestic violence or any other number of things which i will refrain from saying as i know there are some younger people who read my blog and i don't want them to feel uncomfortable. we can make a difference, our veterans did. ever see someone proudly wearing a hat or a jacket proclaiming that they are a vet of diff wars? well most of the world war 2 vets are not around much but you occasionally will see one or two, today i did what i do every time i see someone who is a vet. i thanked them, was a gentleman at the grocery store who was sitting waiting for his wife to finish shopping, after i put my grocerys in my car i approached his window(it was down already) and told him thanks, he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said young lady, you just made my day


alright now on to other business. i have been being a good secret pal i think. today sent my pal at the mania a package and the one at the ville she will be getting something soon. well maybe even sooner than i know as i sent snail mail also lmao


am feeling a tiny bit better. but am ahead of myself now once again as usual, to start at the begining
i went to the dentist the 23rd and had him finish the root canall, he had started the week before when my front tooth went absess. it was not a usual visit , for some reason he gave me way to much numbing agent. i mean my mouth hurt bad afterwards. well the whole day was a disaster, his assitant who i shall call lulu, was horrible, she kept trying to put on of those rubber dams on and could not get it to fit or anything i finally said STOP your hurting me, she hit the top of my mouth several times with the insturmentation that she used for it. needless to say was not a happy camper. hell i hate camping, so we finish and he says looking good should have a little soreness but not for long, i said alright thanks doc,
next day my lip is swollen and my face hurts like hell, i call at the start of the office hours and get the receptionist. i tell her i am hurting alot more than the i should be and am swollen, she says hang on, goes and tells the doc, comes back and she says he wanted me to take a antibotic and he called some pain meds in
fine i go get them take them and still am in agony worse yet by 4 that afternoon i called begging to come in and he said no didn't need to give the meds time to work, i said alright , thursday night am getting worse , friday morning rolls around and i can hardly see out of my eye, i call and of course he is out of town for the weekend, saturday morning am begging someone to find a damn gun and shoot me and put me out of my misery, my face is swollen completely shut on one eye i can't see out ot it at all can't of course get ahold of dentist because yep you got the prize he was out of town said his daughter when i finally did reach someone. so now i am screwed. i knew if i didn't get help soon i would not make it, i mean it was so bad that you could see it swelling as you watched., i look in the phone book thinking maybe the lord will be kind to me today
and make sure that i find someone. i looked up dentists and in the front of the posting there was a number for 1 800- dentist, i call and am hurting so bad am crying , the girl was so kind. she says how far is milton from where you live i said not to bad , she said i found you one. i am now crying so hard can't hardly understand her, daughter gets directions, so i go for the appointment, as soon as i walk in they are all very concerned, said as soon as i could get the paperwork done they would get me in, as i truly was a emergency case. i see the dentist who is a very nice and sweet lady
she looked at me and said oh boy, they took a xray (omgosh i about died) and it showed that there was a halo at the top of the tooth he had worked on. told me she would have to open the cheek up thru the gum line and hope that they could catch a pocket of that infected area. gave me some antibotics and said take them come back at 1, so i did and the poor girl who was her assistant kept apologizing to me saying she knew it would hurt me bad but she had to numb me
i said do what you have to. is alright , and thanked her for helping me. so after about 20 minutes of total hell believe me i suffered bad even with the nitrous oxide i had. the dentist came in and started to open the area up., i will spare you the gross details but she was able and i truly believe my guardian angel guided her hand find the exact pocket that she needed and was not just blood as she thought. after about 30 min of torture so great that the people who are so cruel in war would have been proud, she said she was done. they gave me another shot as i was already not numb(i go thru it fast, it don't last long for me the numbing agent i mean) and is at there for a bit and finally was able to get up and go and get into the car and go home, i suffered soooo bad because of the 1st docs lack of caring . but techinally that isn't true as he is a caring man, i guess more like his loss of thought for my pain level and not listening to me caused me to have to suffered and continue to suffer great pain,. i took pics and if anyone wants to see them i will show them but they are pretty bad.


alright i had my say and it made me feel a bit better, kind of wanted ya all to know why i was not around or posting in your blog. i was to busy almost dying. life is strange, for people who say women are the weaker sex, i sure can tell them a thing or 1,000 about how wrong they are. no one and i say again NO ONE should EVER have to suffer like i have,. and no i know i am not the only one believe me, i am thankful every day i live in the us. if i lived in some third world country i would have died for sure.

well for those of you who read this whole blog and didn't complain once. i thank you. god bless you all and i want to thank our men and women in the united states military service AND their families, a great big hug and thanks from a greatful american, who loves her country and those who choose to defend this great nation again THANk YOU god bless you all

how ya all doing, i been good just working hard on going thru my stash and finding new homes for it. i was a lucky duck this week though i-found the americana afghan i made and sold a new home. a member at the ville bought it, i just couldn't see keeping it and i know it went to a good home. thanks friend hehe


today watched the police chase this small beat up white car, over 15 miles at speeds of up to 90 mph, and why did this guy rob a bank/ was he a murderer? no the reason they chased him was because he was speeding and would not stop for them, then of course they found out it was a stolen car.if the stolen car was so important that the police felt the need to pursue him that just burns my butt, i mean seriously what in the world was so important that the police felt it necerrary since risk lifeand limb of so many people. i just don't get it kk nuff said


started a shawl today and is for my good friend fran, she is aways is doing something for someone, usually me :D its a really pretty browns with a gold thread and copper lurex running thruout the yarnwill post a pic when i get ready to send it to her.



cleaned house today, omgosh, does anyone know if there is a maid service which is cheap???? i am just whooped from cleaning, and i didn't even get half of it done ackkkkkkkk oh well i shall march on to finish.


yesterday went on a material binge yes i am addicted to material also, i bought the cutest polka dots, got them in red/white,, blue/white,pink/white,green/white,purple/whiteand yellow/white

i think that was all of the polka dots, also got this awesome heavier weight almost like a vinyl but wasn't orange and blue snakeskin yipeeeeee i so am going to create some awesome bags and pursesand also got a leapord/denim print/solid does that make sense, k i will resay it
leapord print one side// dark denim on the other side. HOW cool is that?!!!!!! and thats besides all the cool skulls stuff i have, the other day i had bought some really cute pumkin orange and white skulls and some black and white ones

the weather here has been wonderful just awesome i can not wait till sunny days makes my body work harder for the weight loss and i can lose more faster as long as i am working harder,i need to get going and lose some more, anyone want some extra weight i can share with ya all no problem

today is friday yipeeeeeee , i had to laugh at my son this morning he was all pumped up over the new spiderman movie and video game. he went to walmart at 6 am to get the copy of the game, what he forgot is most people have moved up from ps2 to a more advance gaming system, and there was plenty available for him hehe, well being the smart enterprising young man he is he decided to go for a sugar induced breakfast and bought donuts at walmart and since they didn;t have a pint of milk he went to top foods and got one there then was off to teach the masses, 2nd graders this day .


dd and i had a good time today just messing around and we enjoyed each others company for a while till i had to come home and she had to leave as she was getting her car serviced


now am just relaxing blogging and surfing the web, soon will be time to put shadow down for the night into his night accomedations(he sleeps in the garage)lol

hey ya all i know i know i have been bad at blogging i know i have i am sorry. guess i keep falling asleep on the job hehe

i was at the ville earlier today and saw a post about a lys in the virginia where the shootings took place at virginia tech . this article intreged me so i wrote a welcome and also called to see what i could do to help. spoke with gina the gal who along with her coworkers will be putting these comfortghans together, i for one think its a wonderful idea and while i can't make tons i am going to make as many 8 in squares as possible and send them to them when i am done.


today also got a wonderful prezzie in the mail all the way from india, inside as my swap partner for notions swap at the ville, you can see some of the stuff she sent me on my blog right here as there was soooo much i just took pics. but i love it all my friend thank you soooo much

been working on the house trying to clean out my dining room and make it into a room that is used for well uh dining .

today was one of those days that NEVER goes right. it started off when i got up. could not even stand up. my pain level was at least a nine if not a 10. beings as 10's are the worst pain ever felt. HA that shows what doctors know. a 10 was nothing , over whelmed and just kind of down in the dumps. i am sure tomorrow will feel beter i.

sometimes i wonder why i get up in the morning

you see this face, thats what the stinker did to me tonight, i let him out of his pen as usual for his nightly run before i put him to bed. now i have NEVER had any trouble with him trying to get out of the yard, but tonight of all nights when i feel like crud, this little butthead decided to go next door and make me come after him. i asked son to just step over the gate as he is tall enough to do it but noooooooooooooooooo, not him, thats not right he says. soooo i ended up having to climg over the fence and go and get him. do you think he would come to me, um nope he just runs from me all the while i feel like i am having a heart attack from trying to catch him

he on the other hand thinks is funny, damn cat. so now on top of my rotten day i had this happened. now my back feels like someone is beating me with a whip with pieces of sharp metal and glass biting into me, sort of like the cat-o-nine whips the pirates use to use way back in pirate time. i don't think thats the correct name for them and if someone knows it feel free to correct me.


on the good side today i did a good deed. cost me a blinking fortune though , but i sent a big box of yarn to someone who said that they would make some lovie blankets for Ro's(see crochetville.org for that)childrens charity. since i don't have time to make blankets i asked if it was alright to just send yarn to someone who promised that she would make the blankets with the yarn. works for me. am still puttin the ghans together and since i doubt iwill be able to walk tomorrow i might actually get richards ghan done and start on sherries. i know i have a few more squares coming and i will use them all and what ever i don;t will pass them forward to another comforghan(but i think i will be able to use them all, a few i have had to add some squares to make them the 8 in and i have a few which are 10 and a couple which are 12 in so will work somehow around those squares as well as they were made with love and care also so i will make sure they get used

today it rained was a sucky day, now just a few min ago itsy was crying at the door so thought maybe the poor little one was hungry so i moved one of the plates which was empty and set it on the other plates, sure as hell the stupid things fell ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL over the floor, so now with my back killing me i am standing there picking them up all the while my son is giving me crap about it and i wanted to scream at him to shut the hell up, in fact i did finally cause he pissed me off so bad finally got the food picked up and gave itsy a treat then baby wanted one and then coast, so gave them all one and the only one who would eat was baby. itsy finally did but she was more on alert, so must be something out there although could hear thepeople behind us in the apartments. gosh i need a vacation i sooooo need a vacation, all by myself. maybe at the beach i could use it believe me.

so back to my day , now after finding out about uncle ron i saw my cousin today at the bank and asked her how come no one called me, she said her mom was having a hard time dealing with everything, i know i said but still what wouldit take 2 min? anyways then she tells me that her stepdad(my uncle terry) is in baddd shape. he is in congestive heart failure and is carrying over 20 pounds of extra water weight, i said i am really sorry and would pray for him,


so now i am feeling like 2 cents cause i went in mad and came out looking like a bitch which was not my intenion. life sucks today so my question now is whats next. lets see there is 1 hour 27min left in the day what more can i do bewahahahahahahahahahahaa.

a special thanks to my dear friend fran for letting me rant tonight, without you dear friend i would not have made it thru tonight. i wish i knew what to do for shadow. its soooo not fair for the poor little guy to live in a 10x10x6 foot kennel he deserves better, but how do i giv him up, i love that little guy more than life itself, then later i went out to see him he is tender and loving towards me. purring and giving me kisses made me feel much better. for sure. anyways thats how my crappy day went. tomorrow will be another day hopefully better than today and tonight. thanks for reading and listening to me whine. sometimes we just need it i think. this is my baby for all he i drives me nuts i love him dearly god bless and good night ya all

god rest your soul uncle ron

hi ya all, sorry been so darn long, life has been busy but not so kind. oh today sucked this morning part anywys, hubby was reading the paper this morning and said hey don'tyou knowsomone (names name then) and i said yea is my uncle why? he was a little shocked at that and said just wondering, cause there is this guy in the obits, i wondered and thought to myself, how odd someone has the same name as my uncle, so asked can i see that section? he hands it to me and i look at the obit and am just start shaking cause it was my uncle. not one single person in my family bothered to tell me, not one single person, i really am pissed off about this. oh and another thing, no one even told me how bad he was, i knew he was battling lung cancer but everytime i asked one of the aunts for his phone number they didn't have time to tell me, was like i was written out of his life completely. i know he as heartbroken when my aunt carol died and it really does not suprise me that he went as fast as he did. so uncle ron, godspeed to you, rip i will always remember you for your silly grin and the fact you always said i was to skinny and needed to eat your wonderful meals you made. i wish i could have had one more serving of your potato salad but it isn't to be, when i eat potato salad i shall think of you, when i make lasagna i will remember what you said, just s splash of vanilla, to the sauce and it makes it just right. (hey he was italian too and knew what he was talking about) when we meet again in way up yonder uncle i will be waiting for that potato salad and lasagna. love you dear uncle i bid you adeu' p.s nance also says she loves you and god bless

hi from a bad bad blogger. me ... hehe

been a few days well 5 exactly since i posted last, i am truly sorry and will try and post more often

been super busy trying to get some squares together to make hubbys cousin and wife comfortghans, they are in great need of some tlc, see this is the reason, first off richard is a member of the striker bridage stationed here at ft lewis washington, he was sent to iraq last year and recently was injured by a road side bomb, he suffered some pretty severe injuries, he has had all several surgeries so far to try and repair the damage, his front teeth were knocked out, his nose is broken in 3 places, has already had 2 surgeriers for that, his jaw is also wired shut as it broke his jaw as well as numerous cuts abd bruises.
well my friends who i can count on any day of the week are all pitching in and making squares for a comfortghan for both of them . initially i was had asked for squares for him, but one of our members at the ville asked what i thought about making one for his wife, who i can tell you will appreciate it as much if not more than richard will. both are in their mids 20's with no kids, recently married just before he shipped out last year so will let ya all know how thats coming.when i get the squares will put them together and post pics. which brings me to another story, recently on crochetville we had a member who was having some really bad times and was brave enough to tell us about what had happened and how she is dealing wih it all. so after concurring with several people (i posted for all to see) who wanted to help i recieved many many squares and put them together and yesterday she recieved the package and she loves it.paulette honey i am so happy you like it without everyone i could not have put it together.

now i also am working on a special present for my dd's b-day which is this week. she is into different things and this year is into skulls as a focus point, now before ya all get all wacked out, its the IN thing right now, not scaty gross nasty ones, but silly ones like the day of the dead printsvery expressive and actually i find it interesting.

well about feb i decided was going to make her a quilt out of differnt skull material, seriously i can tell you it was a adventure finding it all and without my dear friend fran in texas i would not have half of it, (i payed her of course)

i have been slowly gathering more and more kinds, not just a tiny bit eiher but several yards, well i finally got the 12 in sq cut and tonight sewed the top piece together. then tomorrow will figure out what i am going to use for the back piece. actually what i am contemplating is making an entire piece of different backing using the same materials but in different orders , what do you all think? think that would be cool? i actually made it a bit big so it will be hard to match to material so maybe thats what i will do, it only took me about a hour to sew the top piece, so i figure another hour and a half maybe it will look mega coolbeans hehe i just made the mega thing up and got the coolbeans off my friend fiona , mubbles you see that? you taught me that , lol i say it all the time now.

anyways when this quilt is done completely putting it together after her bday will post a pic.so far i have counted 17 different kinds of material and alot of it i have left so decided that i am going to make some tote bags for sale, anyone like that idea? if those sell or some of the other ones i make do maybe it would bring me some well needed income. dd seems to like the idea and she knows what kinds stuff sells , that though is in the future
and shall see if if it works

anyone have someone who likes to play tricks? every year my son trys and fails to succedd as we look now NOW to see if he has tried, its usually the old shaving cream on the door handle trick lameeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol

today went down to hub's aunt and uncles house for a open house for his uncles 75th b-day, was very nice, his aunt had open house for all his friends and family,

i found out today though that hubbys cousin's hubby who is in the army here at ft lewis was injured really bad and is here at madigan trying to recover, please include him in your prayers. his name is richard a nd he has a broken jaw, face was just about blown up, basicly he can't eat as his jaw is wired shut, his cheek bones are damagaed, basicly broken, this young man gave his entire health to make sure we are protected. please send a how are you thought his way
i am thinking about making him a comfortghan if anyone wants to help please let me know as i think that would mean alot to him, in fact tomorrow am going to call aunt and ask her opinion. i think she will love the idea finished the ghan for our friend on the ville and i hope she loves it as much as we had fun making it i know i did anyways. anyhow hope ya all have a great week, friday is good friday and sunday is easter, what will you guys be doing? we are having dd's b-day and a nice dinner. well am off to blog some more soon. hugs for you all

happy tuesday

hey ya all, how was your day, mine as good for the most part. some bad though as goes with the times. the bad things are, while my neighbords are on their way home from their winter home arizona even as i said this someone broke into their gardening shed where they keep the lawn mower and stole it last week,. i feel bad as they survived all winter without anymone doing anything bad and now this happened. i guess it could have been worse.they could have broken into the house. k enough bad it depresses me,LOL

today went shopping and had some fun, got a food saver for 30.00 reg 100.00, got me a nice pretty cotton blue sweater for 5.00 reg 35.00, some awesome books both crochet and knit and even cross stitch patterns for some cool prices, i got donna koolers crochet encyclpidea for 5.00, a donna kooler 555 cross stitch for 3.00 a crocheted aryan sweater book for 5.00 and a bunch if other cool stuff at the dollar tree, some yarn for another couple scarves i have orders for, and then i got to hancocks, for those of you who don't know what a hancock is is a store that is a fabric store, they also have yarn and books and best of all beads,yes i am on a major bead kick, i sooo need to expand my collection without pinching some from my dd's collection, i also want more charns. today i hit the JACKPOT YIPEEEEE, i found a TON OF CHARM PACKS I am sooo excited , more tomorrow since i am dead on my feet, take care ya all and happy tuesday :)
