today is friday wooooot finally the last working day of the week in our family anyways am soooooooo excited love weekends hate weekdays all that work and all kwim lol

so went to doc had wax plugged ears bad bad me used qtips and clogged them myself so a word of warning don't put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear bewahahahahahahaha

so what im working on i get asked that alot here is what i have in the works now

hats for my sister susan and her family(already made tylers and wills almost done so now just bill(her hubby) and susie and they will be done and sent out.

next am working on a small baby

its christmas time so they say, i want to know what u all are doing to continue your traditions.In our family i thought our traditions would carry on forever, long past when the kids were little,long after we got old, we have always had wonderful things we always did together, but this year is totally different.

sad to say no tree up where hubby and i live, no one cares enough to want to even bother i think.

the holidays anymore seem to be just another day, i breaks my heart we have no one and nothing anymore.

i guess maybe i am depressed, i know i am tired of my life that is day after day same old thing wake up in pain, go to bed in pain,live my life in pain day after day.

i just don't care anymore i guess is what it is.why care when no one else seems to. it will soon be 2012, what do we have to look forward to? i guess only 2012 will show.

so to all of you who read this, i hope your family has a much better holiday season than i am having.i have nothing done and is in 10 days sadly doubt will get it all done but will try. this is just a posting i needed to make maybe tomorrow will be better hugs to all love vicki

not the best of days today, slept most of it, pain level was pretty high today and i guess when it reaches that level i either scream in agony or shut down which is what i did today slept most of the morning and part way into the afternoon which of course upset my other half, he does not understand why i am up at night and down during the day.

Lastly please remember to be responsible, for those of you out there who will be drinking as part of your celebrating PLEASE don't drink and drive. A dear friend just lost a piece of her heart when her 21 year old son and 8 month old grandson were killed by a drunk driver, someone who chose to drive after drinking, now many many lives have been changed so PLEASE PLEASE be responsible. i know anyone who drinks at my house will not be driving .

i need to share something with you all, i went today to pay my ins payment as i always do and saw my agent dana asked her how her dad was he was not just our agent for 40 years he was a friend , she told me he had passed away, this made me very sad as chuck was a very special person one we will never forget ever here is his story

Chuck Reinking was born and raised in Preble, Indiana. He attended a one-room school house in the country.

He is survived by Sharon, his wife of 49 years; his two daughters, Kari and Dana; and his granddaughter, Michelle.
Chuck was a member of the La Foundation Napoleon, a member of Lakewood Chambers of Commerce, and a member of the American Legion.
He attended Anderson College, Indiana University, the University of Utah, and the University of Washington.
Chuck spent 37 years in business in Lakewood as an Allstate agent. He was a charter member of the Allstate Hall of Fame and three-time Agent of the Year.
He was a former coach, a former referee, and a former umpire.
Chuck traveled extensively all over the world with his loving wife, Sharon, and frequently returned to Italy where they first met.

as some of u know keesha and i have been friends for a long time. we met online at a forum we both belonged to a while ago, well to make a long story short we got to meet, had wanted to get together for a bit longer but we took what we could get. timing just did not work out for us to get to spend a entire day so i drove up to the airport to visit with her while she was waiting for her connection(she had been in portland visiting her mom previously so when we found out she had a layover we said cool we can meet in real life. so we did ,one small thing messed us up it took me almost 1 1/2 hours to get thru security because was not prepared and all my stuff in my purse set off the warning issues, i was able to go back into the secure area finally(she and i are both disabled so they made exceptions) here is a picture of us together with her 2 kidlets don't we look happy:)

on friday i got text from my friend kari , we have known each other for a very long time, what she told me broke my heart and wanted so much to be there for her with a hug and a prayer. she told me her 21 year old son and 8 month old grandson had been killed in a car accident by a 18 year old DRUNK DRIVER. how very heartbreaking, this poor family stood no chance with what this young man chose to do you can read more about it here rest in peace eric and bryor you will be missed god bless and keep your family in his arms

happy friday one and all, its the friday before mothers day and what have you got planned. since all of my mommys and grandmas are no longer on this earth i will visit those who are close to me because the others are just to far away for me to get to the gravesides. so will be there in my mind. it has been such a long time since i lost each of them i still miss them terribly.

so on to new news i have friends who are mommys for the first time i want to wish my friend trish a special mothers day wish, last year she had no idea she was going to have a beautiful baby girl named kelsie so congrats to you once again sweetie and happy mothers day.

my own children are cooking something up because i am not allowed to step one foot into the house where they are living now, which means no shadow , no itsy , no coaster and and no little ickabod. i will miss not seeing them as i do see them every single day. my fur kids here will have to put up with lots of love and hugs from their mama instead.

spring is finally here with the flowers blooming like crazy. its still amazingly cold out though and we had frost the other day at a nice temp of 27 degrees IN MAY!!!!!!! some places had snow believe it or not.

today am going out to lunch with my dd Kristy and her friend Peggy, it is Peggys birthday and she had planned to take her to lunch when i had asked her if she wanted to have lunch with me so instead will get to go out to eat both of them.

life has been a bit difficult lately
my health has gone down a bit hill recently , my stenosis has gotten much worse the pain and stabbing burning numbness i have been dealing with have gotten to the point i can't take much more. i saw the doctor and he suggested i try neurontin for it as it is suppose to help with it, i tried it long ago and it didn't work then, am very worried that the side effects are so bad that i won't be able to take them, last time i was on it i gained 25 pounds and still have not lost it and i can not afford to gain anymore weight, adding into that is the dizzyness the feelings of depressions worsening and a whole lot more, yet what do i do i can't stand the pain anymore so have to try it so please if you could remember me in your prayers or send good thoughts my way i am just a burden the way i am so need to be able to step up and do what i can to make things work. sooooooooo am really hoping it will help without causing more issues.

ok so as many of you know i live in chronic severe pain, tonight i get a lecture how much better off i would be without the help of pain medication and it causes pain im just beyond belief that he just dont get it

no matter what i say it don't matter is the pain meds fault unbelievable it seems more shocking and surprising than anything i have heard from you thought i knew you i thought you loved me im just worn out and you blame it on the meds wow is all i can say

im so tired of the pain, the stress,the shortness of breath, not being able to walk more than 5 minutes without gasping for air, right now i wish god would bring me home, i wouldn't have to suffer like i am, my family would finally be better off without me , i wouldn't be a burden to them, then i think about how they would feel and make myself push forward i know if something happened to one of them i would be devastated so have to continue pushing ahead and hope and pray that god will heal me or at least give me the strength to deal with what my life is like

sometimes i wonder is the middle of the week a good thing or bad, its often called hump day because it being right in the middle its like a hump in life to get through then on towards the weekend, soooo is the weekend a good thing or a bad, i guess it realllly depends on how much time you have off and if it actually FALLS on saturday or sunday.

in our house its the weekend as of 3:00 pm on friday afternoon until 5 am on monday morning, what do we do on weekends usually not a darn thing with both of us feeling like the wrong side of a shoe that has been stepped in something smelly IF you know what i mean bewahahaha

life can be good or bad it all depends on what we make of it, i know i whine and complain but thats cause im just darn tired of suffering with no end in sight so irritating for me as well as my family i am sure.

now trying to deal with this headache from hades that just does not seem to want to go to away and is beginning to annoy the living tater tots out of me(do tater tots have lives?) see my brain is on vacation this evening due to the intense shaking and banging it got a week ago. while i usually am about as graceful as a bull elephant in a china shop i think i may have outdone even my old records of being a spaz sigh

well here we are again another week gone by with my wonderful husband still off work due to a eye injury. if this is a prelude to retirement i can tell you right now will go nuts and do one of 2 things, either go and try and find a job or go nuts sigh,

its not that i don't love the guy i do dearly, but he is sooo driving me up the wall with his whining and acting so damn helpless it is about doing me in,

he isn't the one who has the bad heart I am and he is acting like he cant do anything is driving me crazy, i finally put my foot down tonight and told him to stop, just stop now he is all upset at me saying i don't care etc talk about acting like a child i just want him to grow up this is ridiculous ok got it off my chest now back to regular scheduled blogging lol.

hi i belong to a group on ravelry that is afghans for animals and its part of a animal rescue group.

while many of us have fur kids and consider them to be part of our family ,many others do not.

They think a animal is just a possession,
something they have the right to do with whatever they want but that is totally wrong .

It is people like Lisa Craft and the others on ravelry who run shelters for these babies until forever homes can be found who are the true heroes.

here in washington state i have been so blessed to be part of helping little ones.

this last summer. with the help of pasadas safe haven ,
we were able to place snickers and her 5 babies(kitties who were at dh work) safe shelter then placement with the help of the southbeach humane society.

A big thank you to byron wilkes. You my friend made this happen as well as the future placement of the others as soon as we can corral them lol

My family and myself have rescued 8 other cats and taken them in at both houses so are pretty full up right now but i can tell you ,it is all good.

For all who care about furbabies god bless you.
For those of you who abuse them then may god have mercy on your soul, because if anyone of the people i know catch up with you ,well you will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

why does it seem winter will go on forver

ok since we are half way into janurary how long will it be before spring is here.

old man winter has been giving us nothing but stress and the ice and cold and snow are soooo depressing, planted some spring flowers and wanting them to come up so bad lol

life has a way of wandering thru our minds, teasing us with warm days then hitting us right back down with cold and wind ice and snow , cold rain and then once again sun filled days, but always cold here in janurary.

recently i had made a comment to a so called friend about another friend who i had not heard from in some time, i mentioned i thought maybe she was mad at me i didnt understand as i had sent her money for dinner and alot of things and just didnt understand why she was not in contact. thought maybe i had done something wrong, yet knew she had been online talking to others. so my so called friend said dont know and we left it at that then today i got a text from the one i had asked about and said she had heard what i said(which was nothing bad but she seemed to think i was being nasty) i told her i had said that wondering if she was mad at me, i feel so betrayed by the one i thought was a friend who by the way said alot of negative things about the other person as the one i had asked about had done to me about her but i didnt run right back and tattle that he sais she said GROW UP neither of you are my friends anymore cant trust either of them i hate people sometimes i have done nothing but try and be nice to people helping when i can and this was the thanks i got so go screw yourselves im done with both of you

health issues

hi everyone, its been some time since i blogged and now have news i never wanted to share , i went to the doctor last month for my reg med refill and he had a new nurse. she took my bp asked me questions ect took my pulse and kept taking my pulse, i was getting a little freaked out by this and asked her if there was anything wrong, she smiled and said she thought she heard some different noises im like ohkaaaaaaaaaaaay . so doc comes in he gives me meds ect then says he wants to take my pulse, im like what is going on, he said that they heard irregular heart beats and listened to my chest then said ok this is wierd so said going to do a ekg ok? i said your the doc and smiled kind of nervous. inside im shaking. so they do a ekg and he dont like how it looks at all, said was sending me for a echo cardiogram, now im totally freaking out, but again said ok your the doctor. i said whats going on? he said he heard some things he didnt like it sounded like my heart was misfiring which means there is something wrong. so i called that afternoon and scheduled the test this was on a monday and they scheduled me for friday, i was scared to death. dd went with me all my friends who had had it said dont worry it wont hurt and dont take more than 20 minutes boy were they wrong. first off the office was RUDE, when i tried to explain to the tech that i could not lay for a long period of time i would have to be able to move now and then and she responded with well you dont HAVE to do this you know, im like yes i do o have to find out whats wrong. so first off she lays me down on this very hard table im laying almost flat which is killling me she tucked my left arm under my shoulder and i thought i was going to scream was so painful, i tried to hold still and not move around when i was in agony, she snapped at me said you have to lay still i said i am as best as i can. after 15 agonizing minutes she finally stopped typing and moving the transducer(wand used in ultrasound) and said ok you can move so i tried very hard to sit up, she snapped at me i didnt say you could sit up now i have to position you again
i felt like saying SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHAT, i had tears running down my face and she said its not that big of a deal why are you being a baby. i said im NOT a baby i HURT. dd is about ready to pop her in the face. after that she told me i had to lay back down and NOT move. she kept coming back to a certain place so i knew there was something wrong. she then had me move and said this is going to be uncomfortable(im like what does she think this whole damn thing has been) and then she proceeded to push the wand into my chest wall between my ribs and seperate them i felt like screaming i was so bad. after 40 minutes of agony she was finally done said she couldnt do anymore with me moving the way i was i was livid but hurt so bad couldnt even barely walk. if dd had not been with me would have been crawling out the door. so i was told would be ready in 5 days i said 5 DAYS? it takes 5 days to read this and send it via fax? she said we dont use fax we mail it out to them i said well damn now i have to reschedule my appointment. did that for the following tuesday and thought ok should be there i called to make sure and guess what it was NOT there they had not even sent it i was sooooooooooooo angry ended up going over there and making them fax it to my doc

so to make this very long story short now i have two valves in my heart that are leaking, not bad enough for surgery or meds at this time but am very scared of whats to come. i think wont be long before meds and its scaring me to death friends tell me is no big deal but the more i read about things the more afraid i am please keep me and my family in your prayers if you pray and send us good thoughts as we can use all of them that we can get,

im sorry has been such a long time since i posted, life has a way of getting into my space and time.

a big hello to all who follow, i have been busy once again working on the craft room from hell .

i need about 4 days all alone which i can lay things out and then decided what to keep and what to get rid of and then decide who to give it to.

i am going to share with the women prisoners at the womens prison at purdy. they make things for their family for gifts and have to supply their own yarn, this is something i can help with they will be able to use the yarn and make things for family and friends for gifts which i think is awesome so am happy to help will have help with this by a new friend i met on ravelry she said would be happy to take it to them which saves me a ton of work and travel time as this friend lives close to there.

well tomorrow i hit the big 54 my dd and i are going to go out to lunch and then tomorrow night will have dinner at the kids and my son said pressies woohoo i love pressies. i have already gotten some birthday greetings even though it was ahead of time and i loved them all and those who sent them to me tytytytytytytyty

back pain is getting worse i sooo wish i could get a job that would help with bills and medical premiums, i KNOW dh wants to retire asap we had talked about him waiting till he was 62 which is only 2 more years from now, i can not believe he will not wait knowing how much it will cost us 1500 x 14 months is alot of money and thats IF i can keep what i have, which is doubtful for the first year yes but after that i have to have ins that will cover my medical issues and prescriptions when he retires his net pay now will be his gross pay for retirement until we get social security which he can get at 62 as well as i can as his dependant and being disabled i qualify course if things keep going the way they are now in 5 years there WON'T be any social security or medicare.im so frustrated can you tell?

i'm worried about mojo have not seen him for a week now he may be coming and eatting when im not watching but lately tried to just catch a glimps of him but he seems to have vanished along with poor old midnight.

that poor old cat was coming to eat every single day and i have not seen him around since last week in fact was same day mojo was here now i think of it that REALLLLLY worries me, have checked the web page of the animal control and everywhere i can think of mojo please come home i miss you and love you

this week sucked

this week totally sucked. i started out tuesday on a lovely note, was headed out to best buy to get a couple dvd's for the kids then was suppose to go to the dentist when i started the car i thought nothing of it, cloney came into the yard(neighbors cat) so i opened the door of the car got out to move him, because he was laying in the middle of the driveway so got the little bugger to move headed back to my car, and the door shut. im like oh no biggie can open it right? NOT the damn thing locked on me, how i dont know but i did it so here is my car running in the yard and i have no way to get in and shut it off. thankfully dd was home and she got the keys from her dad and brought them to me ................ sigh..............

so then i decided to indulge in some retail therapy and went to tuesday morning got some awesome deals and will be posting some in my etsy store soon, then headed out to the kids and remembered i needed to get my meds, so got them stopped at the grocery store(not saying which one right now) and had gotten some grocerys was headed back from the frozen food aisle and i slipped in some fort of liquid and if not for my cart i would have fallen. as it was i wrenched my back and its still hurting. the manager was atotal jerk didnt even seem to care i was hurt, didnt ask if i was ok if i needed medical help anything didnt make out a accident report nothing. so yesterday went to the store asking if they would make a report out, i said i was hurt and they acted like i was faking it, i saw the boy who had cleaned the spill up and said he saw it, so then they decided to believe me, the guy asked me if i had fallen and i said no the cart caught me, he laughed and said something to the line oh the cart caught your fall thats wonderful then LAUGHED, i said gee it might even be funny if i wasnt HURT total jerk tried to get into docs today but he is booked till monday so will see him then what a day totaly sucked hope today is better hugs vicki

morning all i hope you are all having a good week. today is wednesday and i am more than ready for the weekend to come(even though it means dh will be home)

he went back to work after almost 6 weeks off and if this is a prelude to retirement i am sooooooo going to look for a job or something can't deal with him 24/7 for that long.

joined several swaps on ravelry such a nice place and most people on there are awesome, met a few who were users but not to many and since i have cut the ones out of my life that are users i feel so much better.

still going thru my yarns and will be putting some up for sale also patterns lots of good deals coming soon so come back and check often, going to try and get the items listed by the middle of the month so please check and see if there is something you want. am willing to ship international but payment must be made by paypal, domestic i will wait for a money order but i need to have it paid paypal im sure you understand with the rate difference in all countries but am willing to ship international no problem

sorry been so long since i blogged been one of those summers lol, well we did catch the other baby kitten and the mama cat and they are all off to new homes in long beach washington area. what i found amazing was that no one in my own community could help me but then i asked for help from a wonderful organization called pasadas safe haven. here is the link for anyone who wants to know about them

i gave him the name and address of where the cats were and he said he would call me back in a day or so, he did indeed, on july 3 ,2010 he met us at hubbys work and said he would do everything he could to help us, on july 4th a holiday here in the usa he made a long 2 hour trip down to bring us traps and cages to catch the cats.

since then we have been in touch off and on and when we had all 5 of the kittens and the mama cat he came to take them to their new home, unfortenetly mama cat got loose in the garage and snickers was not taken, dh and ds and myself had to dig her out of the garage, she was hiding behind a wall poor babygirl.

we got her back into the kennel and called byron he came down to get her and instead of us risking her getting out we sent her in the kennel down to her new home, we at that time decided to donate the kennel to them as she had been so good for us we figured maybe she would be ok in there. i was sorry to let her go though and still miss that special little one, the day before and day of her leaving she let me pet her and was actually purring for me. i cried when he took her and am right now writing this so am going to sign off on it now i know she will be going to a new home and i hope and pray they will be good to her goodbye snickers mama loves you sweetie

drunk drivers and why they deserve to be put im prison

last night on the news i heard a story that broke my heart. 3 young men in the cusps of life ready to graduate on saturday from decater high school in federal way washington were struck while their car was disabled on the side of the road by a drunk driver , and 2 of the boys died. one at the scene one later at the hospital, and while many people will look at this and say thats sad but it happens, yes it does but it SHOULDN'T have happened this time. The man who hit them and totally destroyed 3 families lives forever had 2 prior convictions for dui. yet he continued to drink and this time it cost 2 young men their lives. they were sons,grandsons, brothers, cousins boyfriends and friends to many people, yet this happened once again and why? can anyone tell me that? can anyone tell me why the laws in this state care more for the person who commits a crime and gets a slap on the wrist so he can go out and do it again? does anyone know the answer? is there one? it would be so nice for there to be a answer to give these families but there isn't, we need tougher drunk driving laws people who just go out and get blitzed and then have NO care of anyone , not even themselves, of course none of that matters now these young men are dead forever gone but not forgotten. god bless you the families of nick hodgins and derek king rip guys, you i know will be missed by so many and loved by all who knew you, as for you mr drunk driver i hope you rot in hell for the things you did to these families if you want to read more about it at kirotv.com here is the link http://www.kirotv.com/news/23864239/detail.html

i am sorry has been so long since i posted so much has happened and just am worn out dealing with it all, this post i guess i need to try and explain, a death of a friendship, it like all friendships started with promise someone new we had something in common crochet, both belonged to the same forum similar interests, so over the years we would email chat on yahoo messnger ect. lately on skypes until i finally realized she didn;t care one little bit about my feelings, the convo was similar to this, i said hi she said hi, same old thing but instead of listening to her bad day that she had had or how things were so bad today i said i was really upset, she said she understood she had been upset too. again all about HER, so then when i tried to explain to her i had to get rid of a huge amount of my stash she had the balls to tell me i should go on the show horders, i said excuse me? that was not nice, she says well i didn;t mean anything by it, im like then why did you say it, she made some excuse and said it again, i said forget it i don;t want to talk about it with you lets talk about something else. she said fine THEN she said have you thought about getting professional help? im like wtf is going on with you, that hurt my feelings, she again says i didn;t mean anything by it, again i said you really hurt my feelings, but does she care. does she stop, no she did not in fact she continued on in the same vein i said i don;t want to talk to you anymore said goodbye and clicked off
i wanted to talk to someone else about it one of my friends and sisters who DO care about me and she popped back in. i again told her i didn;t want to talk to her i was to upset but did she stop even then? oh hell no she kept it up and up and up and finally she did it, she made me so angry and hurt i don't want to be friends with her anymore. it was always about can i do this or that how many times did i get things for her when she said she couldnt afford them then she says i need to be on horders what the heck is wrong with you jean i know you read my blog and even if you answer on here i am not posting it so please don;t and do not keep trying to contact me the friendship(if we ever really had one now i think about how all you did was gripe complain and bitch 95% of the time) is over you don;t need to be concerned about me or worry anymore i am no longer nor care to be your friend . you killed it with your insensitivity and lack of concern for me , and no im not sending you your hooks or yarn i promised you , i would burn them first

sorry the rest of you have to read this but i have reached my limit with this greedy person say some prayers for me so i am not so upset she dont warrent my attention anymore and im using this to purge her out of my life to all of those who DO care thanks and hugs for you all

good morning everyone, today is the day before my dd birthday. the last child i gave birth to she is going to be 26 years old tomorrow

26 years wow how time has flown and i aam saddened by how fast she and my son grew up but such is life.

i am trying to decide if i should bake her a cake today or buy one anyone have any suggestions? i don't mind baking and the cakes are usually pretty good but today i am actually feeling semi human again so don't know if i want to use my spoons up baking but then again is her birthday sigh decisions decisions hehe

So is april 10th we are almost half way thru the month and what do we have to show for it

LOTS OF RAIN and SNOW in the mountains

but we need it since had less than normal precipitation this winter(or so they say seems like it rained constantly to me )

today is the daffodil parade i remember going to see the parade when i was young now there is no way i can and they don't televise it anymore either so will miss it totally makes me sad.

Went to the doc yesterday for my meds, he said to stop taking zyrtec and try clariton so did and my nose stopped running hehe also told him my pain is getting worse but not ready to try anything else if he wanted to change the meds i DO have as they at least help some.

Joined a new group on ravelry its called chronic stitchers and i LOVE it, thanks kim for starting it its a fun and comforting place to be. so if anyone suffers from chronic pain or illness and want a good place to hang out come join us there

mid week aka hump day

today is wendsday also known as hump day why who knows is just one of those wierd things people say lol

well this weekend marks the end of the bedroom cleaning/destashing /getting rid of a ton of stuff can i do it? i hope so as i have a nice computer desk and printer set up riding on it, so while "hump" day s are tradionally suppose to go fast this one is slow mainly because i am haha. going to get myself some breakfast soon and get my rear in gear, soon will be headed out to the other house as dd has to get her brakes done and i have a eye appointment at 11 so not alot of time to finish here today so may come back after eye exam and work for a hour or so. surely do need to finish so tomorrow is dedicated to doing just that not a whole lot left to do but enough i want to get it done by friday so don't have to work on it sat and sunday as that is my self imposed deadline. think i can do it? OF COURSE i can. sent a ton of yarn out and hoping to get my payments for shipping back soon from those who are sending them not worried about it , just would be nice to have in checking. oh well what will be will be

i HATE VISTA operating system

ok i have had it with this stupid computer i am about ready to throw it out the window yesterday i uploaded the latest version of firefox mozilla well instead of making my computer work better it shot it all to the devil and now i can only get online in safe mode which of course limits me in so many things i am doing. i want to know from you my readers how many of you have vista and how many have the new windows 7 and if you like it any better. i have had mixed reviews as for how people like vista all i know is there is softwear glitch after softwear glitch and am darn sick of it ok now i vented you can all go to sleep as its almost 2 am here in the pacific standard time. ackkkkkkkkkkkkk is all i can say tomorrow will have to sweet talk my son into figuring out what the heck is wrong with the computer and why it keeps crashing)(although there is a sign up on the board for like 20 seconds an eventually i MIGHT get to read the entire thing and figure it out for myself anyways anyway want to make a guess as to how long THAT might take? thought not ok off to dream land goodnight bloggers sweet dreams and until tomorrow gnight

another decade

well we started another year and another decade. this last 10 years have been a mixed batch of emotions. as the new century came in we often worried what will happen will everything shut down when the computers went to 2000 from the 1999's we all stressed worried and wondered and then nothing happened. what a relief all the pre preparation was done well and nothing major happened. of course we did not realize it but this was because the original terrorist attack we would have suffered on us soil was thwarted by a border guard in port angelas washington having seen something suspision in this person they detained him and found that he had a trunk full of explosives thankfully he was thwarted as he had plans to blow up LAX (losangeles international airport) so the year started good, for me anyways it was bitter sweet i had just lost one of my best friends in the whole world and that was my sweet neighbor rosie i loved her like a grandmother and she loved me right back i to this day STILL miss her so as the year progressed we were all excited as was our sons high school graduation coming up had a huge party planned over 100 people were coming then tragedy struck my dd and i were rear ended on june 7th 2000 and this started the decade of pain as i call it. to shorten it and not bore you i will tell you that it was not easy for our family as i was hurt pretty darn bad and had to have not one but 2 surgerys on my spine. not going into it as many of you already know it and its ancient history . anyways during these 10 years our family suffered many losses both of our parents both died lost aunts and uncles cousins who died to young and i can go on forever. but the point is everytime i think that things can't get worse they do.we had many things happen the worst was 9/11 where those cowards attacked and killed so many innocent people and changed our world forever, then thru the years more and more things happened people were lost people were born life slowly moved forward. can we honestly say that we wish this decade never happened? if we did then where would we all be without our kids grandkids ect. life moves ahead wether or not we do, what i think the worst of it all in my community was the sensless death and murders of 5 police officers and why? because they could, rest in peace officers you know you will always be part of our community i am slowly working on sq for the comfortghans and will post pics wen i am done with it them all

thus now we are fast forwarded to 2010 a new decade. i after talking to many of my friends and yarn sisters online decided that this is the year we are going to help others and maybe enrich our lives a bit better can you think how can i help well there is alot of ways make a new friend i made one at the craft store one day today we had lunch and i showed her how to work on her crochet it was a fun day melody, i really enjoyed it too, we will have lots of fun times together now we have found each other.
as for what i was saying earlier why not do something good to help someone else. right now am working on the comfortghans for 6 police officers families who lost their mom or dads something they can hold and know people care i am getting help from a few people and when more come i will certainly let ya all know. today jody who is a good friend also(i make the best friends online) sent me 9 sq 3 in red 3 in white and 3 in blue. woohoo i think now i might be close enough to having 2 done and put together as i am getting more and more, also my dear friend kathy from the mania is making me some she has 10 done so far, miss kitty sent 2 and am waiting for others to arrive to know what i have left and need to do keesha is even making sq and they look awesome thanks sweetie.

i look back on the last 10 years and can honestly say they were the most trying and diffucult in my life and thats alot, yet i made it thru and not only did i make it thru i learned alot, before 2001 i never had or wanted a computer. now i have mine i can not do without(well i could but would sure miss ya all) while there are alot of bad people out in cyber space(and i have been used by a few of them i have learned my lesson though trust me)for every bad person i like to think there is at least 4 good people, i truly am blessed by all of you as you read this in whatever time zone your in god bless all of you remember to do for others as you wish they would you. remember for every wrong, there is a right, and last but not least remember that if you need a friend be one and know if your reading this you are MY friend hugs to you all and a welcome to a better new year and a new decade love vicki

merry merry christmas eve everyone today is our first christmas without so many in our family started on april 15th when we lost my father in law. he is sorely missed and always will be next we lost my dh uncle in september i don;t remember the exact date as we were not told he was even sick until after he died(he lived in michigan) then dh lost his cousin michael to cancer. he battled this disease for 10 long years rest in peace all of you. then november 17th my sister in yarn from another mother(and dad) lost her son tim to his battle of a brain injury may he also rest in peace and stop teasing your sister timmie with all the things happening without explanation we all know its you lol

then a week ago we lost merwyn my beloved bambina kitty how i miss her still

ok enough sad things this is suppose to be a happy time of year i wish all of you happy holidays wether it be christmas hanukkah Kwanzaa or any other ones i missed(and im sure there is and i apologize to my readers)

the new year i hope will bring better times for all of us the recession this country has been seems to be getting worse instead of better yet our government seems to sugar coat it

today i will be busy wrapping gifts and getting dinner ready for the kids to come over we are starting new traditions and hope that they work out.

my wishes for all of you is to have a wonderful holiday for those who are in pain i wish you a day free of it those who are depressed may your mood be lifted doing something for others and not thinking about how bad things are they are bad but brooding about it does not help believe me i know been there sooooooooooooooo many times.maybe you can cheer someone elses life up a bit go visit a nursing home and sing christmas songs help someone by giving them your place in line or if your able to maybe help pay for their groceries even telling someone to have a good day can bring a smile to their face and that should cheer YOU up too remember tomorrow is another day and while your life may not be a bed of roses remember there are others out there much worse than you., ask a mother who has just opened her door to see a military chaplin there or a child who's parent has died or even someone who has lost a pet it effects people different and this time of year is difficult for so many people .
people out of work, without money to make christmas for their children there are thousands of things going on

tonight i had to do something that was one of the hardest things i have ever had to do in my entire life. i had to take my beloveded merwyn to the vet to put her to sleep, she was one of the bravest strongest kitties i have ever ever saw in my life. let me tell you about my bambina the one i called cara mia bambina the love of my life.

it all started back in august of 1995, 1995 had been a hard year had lost my beloved grandfather on july 4th he was 95 years old lived a long good life but of course that did not change the fact that my grandfather the one i adored was dead it was about the 3rd week of august when my little girl came in the house and said mama there is kittens in the wood pile. i said really? thinking it was a stray cat who was just visiting, but it was not. it was my bambina and her brother boo along with another little black kitty who was so close to merwyn that they may have been twins.

we watched these adorable kittens romp around the yard during the months of sept and october. i noticed the mama kitty had moved them around alot but they felt safe in our yard as we had no dogs all of us enjoyed watching these little ones at play figuring eventually they would move on as ferrill cats do, and mama and one of the black ones did. we had not seen the babies for a couple days so figured they were gone. it was the day before thanksgiving, my job was to get the turkey cleaned and ready to roast the next day had just finished the giblets and was putting my pies in the oven(you all know how busy the day before a holiday can be) it was a wicked night out cold snowing and just outright nasty windy and i had clothes drying in the dryer as i always was doing laundry every day that day was no different until i heard this little meow like a baby kitten. i thought how odd,so i turned the back porch light and looked and there was merwyn and boo sitting under the dryer vent trying to get warm(was soooo cold in the 20's with snow and blowing made it very cold) so i said to them where is your mama little ones, the both looked at me so trusting and just meowed. i said are you hungry? they meowed i took that as a yes. i of course had no cat food only pancakes i had made for dinner. they snarfed them down and huddled together. so had dh go out to the patio and put a box with some blankets in it for them and they stayed in there as long as no one was around. come spring i said ok they have to go or we have to get them spayed or nuetered. well the kids loved them by then and so did i hehe so was the later that happened. eventually i was able to pet them and they became our babies. over the years they became more and more friendly towards us, boo who was merwyns brother was much more friendly than merwyn she was always very reserved. but when she loved you she was loyal to a T. in 1999 there was a attempt on this man to steal boo my son caught him and threw him off our property. in 2000 after a severe car accident this man took advantage of the fact i could not stop him and he was able to come in to the yard and take boo right away from our property. we were devistated we tried to find him but never did. merwyn went missing several times she was trying to find her brother. we never did get him back. then as we went thru all the things dealing with my injuries merwyn became very ill in november of 2001. she had developed a terrible infection in her plura cavity(chest) the vets told us we should put her down she had actually stopped breathing and they got her heart going again and her breathing, they told me she had a 5% chance to live i SAID PLEASE HELP HERso she had her surgery to drain it they put a drain tube in her and off to the vet we went that would do it, she spent about 5 days in the hospital and then we got to bring her home right after thanksgiving, 5 years after she came into our lives we almost lost her, it took alot of vet visits antibotics and alot of loving care but my little cara mia pulled through.

merwyn will always be in our lives with the pictures of her we have to the memories of our special kitty. this cat was amazing. a couple of years ago i was looking for her as was dinner time and she had not come to eat. i found her outside the garage door staring straight at it and then running back to me as if to say mom mom somethings wrong, there was the hot water heater was leaking and about ready to explode , its a natural gas heater so god knows what would have happened had it exploded but it would not have been good the tank was bulging and already had developed a big crack in it we were able to open the drain and get the water out of there thanks to our watch kitty. recently she started coming inside as she was not as well as she had been before that she hated being inside loved being outside in the air sniffing it and loved to lay in the sunshine i took her outside the day before yesterday all wrapped up as she was cold her poor little body was shutting down and she wanted to spend as much time with us as she could, merwyn was a smart cat she knew when things happened or were happening she loved laying on the mat i bought at petsmart.com it is basicly a space blanket covered with fleece it helped warm her. i will miss merwyn the rest of my life as i do boo, but she will live on in all of us. that brave little soul had more courage and spunk than anyone i know human or animal, i hope i can be that way but im not that brave. rest in peace little one i know your with those who have gone before and waiting for us to catch up i love you bambina with all of my heart love mama

as i sit here writing this post i wonder why nothing makes much sense anymore, i'm refering to the senseless killings of 4 of our police officers on sunday november 29th 2009 about 8:30 am officers Ronald Owens,Mark Renninger,Greg Richards and Tina Griswold of the lakewood washington police department were gunned down in cold blood by a convicted felon Marice Clemmons . this coward went into the coffee shop where these brave officers were sitting having breakfast and getting ready to go on shift. and without any care of remorse shot and killed these officers for no reason at all. The lives of these officers families have been forever destroyed by this coward and those who helped him Marice Clemmons was shot and killed by a seattle police officer early tuesday morning (12/01/2009)

my heart and prayers go out to the families of these fallen officers.

hey ya all thought would stop in and say hi, not much going on right now listening to some crosby stills nash and young. i soooo enjoyed that concert last week the kids got us the tickets to for our anniversary, i love their music and had a great time

not up to much, thought i would see what ya all have in your idea patch to make for christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate, i honestly have no idea yet what to make for most of my family, for my dd i am thinking of knitting a sweater and if i am going to do it need to get my rear in gear almost done with the scarf i posted about earlier.

i am thinking of selling this for about 25.00 considering the work and the amount of money the yarn cost so will see i might not sell it and keep it instead or give it as a gift.

chatted last night for a bit with some friends on facebook and yahoo, i know everyone is pretty busy this time of year. i know i am worn out for sure like last night i feel asleep with the computer on my lap hehe oh well didn't hurt anything so all was well.

im excited i chatted with my friend joyce and she is sending me a package for my birthday and some other goodies she had for me i can;t wait to see she always sends me the best things

talked to my friend nancy please include her in your prayers she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and can use all the good thoughts and prayers she can use. especially now when she is away from her family she needs her friends more than ever. love you sweetie hang in there it WILL get better remember what we talked about.

i was just on the phone with my friend and fellow craft sister kathy, her son tim sustained a severe haed trauma 2 years ago and has been in a coma ever since,. tonight she called me as he was taken to the hospital with a very high fever, his upper body was very hot while his feet were normal temp not quite sure what that means but it does not sound good. please say a prayer for timmie he needs all he can get

yesterday was the end of a very stressing time on one of the forums i belonged to(past tense as i quit there yesterday) i had issues with several people about some things which just was not needed about i finally made a decision to step away from this group, i just want any who DO read my blog to know no hard feelings with any of you is time i moved on i wish you all the best and am leaving it at that, i don't want to start anything i just wanted to tell you all i wish you the best

LETTER TO PEOPLE WITHOUT CHRONIC PAIN:

Having chronic pain means many things change, and a lot of them are invisible. Unlike having cancer or being hurt in an accident, most people do not understand even a little about chronic pain and its effects, and of those that think they know, many are actually misinformed.

In the spirit of informing those who wish to understand ...
... These are the things that I would like you to understand about me before you judge me...

Please understand that being sick doesn't mean I'm not still a human being. I have to spend most of my day in considerable pain and exhaustion, and if you visit, sometimes I probably don't seem like much fun to be with, but I'm still me-- stuck inside this body. I still worry about school, my family, my friends, and most of the time - I'd still like to hear you talk about yours, too.

Please understand the difference between "happy" and "healthy". When you've got the flu, you probably feel miserable with it, but I've been sick for years. I can't be miserable all the time. In fact, I work hard at not being miserable. So, if you're talking to me and I sound happy, it means I'm happy. That's all. It doesn't mean that I'm not in a lot of pain, or extremely tired, or that I'm getting better, or any of those things. Please don't say, "Oh, you're sounding better!" or "But you look so healthy!¨ I am merely coping. I am sounding happy and trying to look normal. If you want to comment on that, you're welcome.

Please understand that being able to stand up for ten minutes doesn't necessarily mean that I can stand up for twenty minutes, or an hour. Just because I managed to stand up for thirty minutes yesterday doesn't mean that I can do the same today. With a lot of diseases you're either paralyzed, or you can move. With this one, it gets more confusing everyday. It can be like a yo-yo. I never know from day to day, how I am going to feel when I wake up. In most cases, I never know from minute to minute. That is one of the hardest and most frustrating components of chronic pain.

Please repeat the above paragraph substituting, "sitting", "walking", "thinking", "concentrating", "being sociable" and so on ... it applies to everything. That's what chronic pain does to you.

Please understand that chronic pain is variable. It's quite possible (for many, it's common) that one day I am able to walk to the park and back, while the next day I'll have trouble getting to the next room. Please don't attack me when I'm ill by saying, "But you did it before!" or Oh, come on, I know you can do this!" If you want me to do something, then ask if I can. In a similar vein, I may need to cancel a previous commitment at the last minute. If this happens, please do not take it personally. If you are able, please try to always remember how very lucky you are--to be physically able to do all of the things that you can do.

Please understand that "getting out and doing things" does not make me feel better, and can often make me seriously worse. You don't know what I go through or how I suffer in my own private time. Telling me that I need to exercise, or do some things to get my mind off of it¨ may frustrate me to tears, and is not correct if I was capable of doing some things any or all of the time, don't you know that I would? I am working with my doctor and I am doing what I am supposed to do. Another statement that hurts is, "You just need to push yourself more, try harder..." Obviously, chronic pain can deal with the whole body, or be localized to specific areas. Sometimes participating in a single activity for a short or a long period of time can cause more damage and physical pain than you could ever imagine. Not to mention the recovery time, which can be intense. You can't always read it on my face or in my body language. Also, chronic pain may cause secondary depression (wouldn't you get depressed and down if you were hurting constantly for months or years?), but it is not created by depression.

Please understand that if I say I have to sit down/lie down/stay in bed/or take these pills now, that probably means that I do have to do it right now - it can't be put off or forgotten just because I'm somewhere, or am right in the middle of doing something. Chronic pain does not forgive, nor does it wait for anyone.

If you want to suggest a cure to me, please don't. It's not because I don't appreciate the thought, and it's not because I don't want to get well. Lord knows that isn't true. In all likelihood, if you've heard of it or tried it, so have I. In some cases, I have been made sicker, not better. This can involve side effects or allergic reactions. It also includes failure, which in and of itself can make me feel even lower. If there were something that cured, or even helped people with my form of chronic pain, then we'd know about it. There is worldwide networking (both on and off the Internet) between people with chronic pain. If something worked, we would KNOW. It's definitely not for lack of trying. If, after reading this, you still feel the need to suggest a cure, then so be it. I may take what you said and discuss it with my doctor.

If I seem touchy, it's probably because I am. It's not how I try to be. As a matter of fact, I try very hard to be normal. I hope you will try to understand. I have been, and am still, going through a lot. Chronic pain is hard for you to understand unless you have had it. It wreaks havoc on the body and the mind. It is exhausting and exasperating. Almost all the time, I know that I am doing my best to cope with this, and live my life to the best of my ability. I ask you to bear with me, and accept me as I am. I know that you cannot literally understand my situation unless you have been in my shoes, but as much as is possible, I am asking you to try to be understanding in general.

In many ways I depend on you - people who are not sick. I need you to visit me when I am too sick to go out... Sometimes I need you help me with the shopping, cooking or cleaning. I may need you to take me to the doctor, or to the store. You are my link to the normalcy of life. You can help me to keep in touch with the parts of life that I miss and fully intend to undertake again, just as soon as I am able.

I know that I have asked a lot from you, and I do thank you for listening. It really does mean a lot.

TIPS FOR DEALING WITH PEOPLE IN PAIN
1. People with chronic pain seem unreliable (we can't count on ourselves). When feeling better we promise things (and mean it); when in serious pain, we may not even show up.

2. An action or situation may result in pain several hours later, or even the next day. Delayed pain is confusing to people who have never experienced it.

3. Pain can inhibit listening and other communication skills. It's like having someone shouting at you, or trying to talk with a fire alarm going off in the room. The effect of pain on the mind can seem like attention deficit disorder. So you may have to repeat a request, or write things down for a person with chronic pain. Don't take it personally, or think that they are stupid.

4. The senses can overload while in pain. For example, noises that wouldn't normally bother you, seem too much.

5. Patience may seem short. We can't wait in a long line; can't wait for a long drawn out conversation.

6. Don't always ask "how are you" unless you are genuinely prepared to listen it just points attention inward.

7. Pain can sometimes trigger psychological disabilities (usually very temporary). When in pain, a small task, like hanging out the laundry, can seem like a huge wall, too high to climb over. An hour later the same job may be quite OK. It is sane to be depressed occasionally when you hurt.

8. Pain can come on fairly quickly and unexpectedly. Pain sometimes abates after a short rest. Chronic pain people appear to arrive and fade unpredictably to others.

9. Knowing where a refuge is, such as a couch, a bed, or comfortable chair, is as important as knowing where a bathroom is. A visit is much more enjoyable if the chronic pain person knows there is a refuge if needed. A person with chronic pain may not want to go anywhere that has no refuge (e.g.no place to sit or lie down).

10. Small acts of kindness can seem like huge acts of mercy to a person in pain. Your offer of a pillow or a cup of tea can be a really big thing to a person who is feeling temporarily helpless in the face of encroaching pain.

11. Not all pain is easy to locate or describe. Sometimes there is a body-wide feeling of discomfort, with hard to describe pains in the entire back, or in both legs, but not in one particular spot you can point to. Our vocabulary for pain is very limited, compared to the body's ability to feel varieties of discomfort.

12. We may not have a good "reason" for the pain. Medical science is still limited in its understanding of pain. Many people have pain that is not yet classified by doctors as an officially recognized "disease". That does not reduce the pain, - it only reduces our ability to give it a label, and to have you believe us.

i need to vent yesterday went to the doctor, he has changed all his office rules, because i am a chronic pain sufferor and he treats me for that he asked me to sign a pain contract and also do random drug tests no problem have nothing to hide, the only bad thing is he went to 28 day meds refill instead of 30 so now when my back is so bad and i need the extra 2 days worth of meds i won;t have them sigh not his fault don't blame him at all but am just frustrated, i want to scream at how people abuse the system and we the innocent have to pay ticks me off grrrrrrrrrrrrr anyways wanted to get it out so can move forward hugs vicki

more sad news today we lost one of the cats we rescued yesterday, we were able to get 3 more yesterday i know have not blogged recently but a couple of the babies to a no kill shelter , last i heard they are not thriving, can you blame them poor little babies being taken from their mother and family(they were weened so not that they can not eat just are not hungry) but they at least are safe and will soon be better i hope ok back to todays news we got mojo and poster kitty and another little orange one we had not named and put them in the kennel we spent 300.00 for last night. there was a few gaps in the top but we didn't think mojo would get out, but he did and now he is lost in a neighborhood where nothing is familiar i am so hoping he is just hiding somewhere in the yard as i can not stand to think of him wandering around lost without food or water or anything , i don't know any of the people around here but there is alot of wild cats which run he may join some of them or hopfully he is not far and will come home, please please keep him in your prayers and send good thoughts for him and all of us we are just beside ourselves, i know most people probably think i am silly worrying about some stray cats but you guys don't understand. these cats have been with my dh at work since they were babies we have been feeding them for years and now his asshole boss decides they are a health hazard i won't write what i really want to cause don't want to offend anyone with how i really feel about this jerk my pain level is really bad and not all due to the cats is mostly due to the weather changing and the fact i am trying to do more and know i can not do it thankfully i am selling some of my yarns thanks to all who are buying or thinking about buying from me it is greatly appreciated and will get it all sent out soon.
my son got a job teaching 4th grade in a continuing position which means that he SHOULD have a job next year too life is sort of like a pita lately i just can;t deal with things much anymore i am tired of the way life is , people are so rude have no care or concern over anyone but themselves anymore(this is not about anyone in particular, just the general population all my friends i know and love do care and don't want you all to think i am talking about you as i am not, just about people in general ok?) i see on the news how kids are dying by their parents hands. life is just depressing i'm tired of it just sick and tired of it i need cheering up hmm wonder what goodwill has for sale this week lol hugs to you all

today i got the call i have been dreading some "do gooder" decided that our beautiful cats need a " good" home. that they should not be living outside at work, never mind that you have people who love and care about you and take care of you, feed you give you shelter and all of our love, never mind that you have people who are now heartbroken, , nope none of that matters cause they think you need a better home or if not possible to find you one then kill you instead, you will be so much better off so they come up to you and you trust them girl and they take you from your home and the people who love you from your babies who as i write this are lost without their mama but do they care oh hell no they want whats right for you, its a very sad day in my life when i honestly wish i could go down and get you and spit right in their faces, but am unable to do it. sadly my painter girl i have no where to bring you with bambina sick i can't bring another baby into the house and i know you don't understand why i can only tell you how very much i love you and wish i could bring you home with me or better yet back to your babies but they don't care paint , they want whats best for you. i hope to god that someday these evil people will all pay the ultimate price for their deviant behaviour i only hope and pray that you do find a good home and that you are able to move on in your little life little one i love you and always will i am sitting her crying my eyes out for you and am helpless to do anything to save you or any of the other babies who we both love so very much, sweetie i wish i could do something my hands are tied i am not able to give you what you need here and they won't let me keep you at work where you have lived for the past 5 years i hope they all rot in hell its a sad day in this country when people who love and care about fur babies can't even keep them safe. i feel like i let you down and i know i will never see you again i can only thank god i have my pictures so i can see you your daddy is going to miss you so much , he told me the only thing that has kept him working is you and your babies i worry so about him too, he has always had a fur baby to care about and worry about at work it helps him through the long horrible days he has had to continue working because of me and now he won't even have you to help him through. little one i can only pray someone who loves you as we do adopts you and gives you a good home, i selfishly wish i could keep you and know its not possible, if anyone is interested in adopting this beautiful baby girl she is at the pierce county animal shelter their telephone number is (253 )383-2733 if anyone does adopt her i hope you give her the kind of life she deserves alot of love and alot of room to roam goodbye little one i will always love you with all of my heart signed your mama.

hey ya all , i just had a blast going through all the patterns on sale at annies attic hope you guys can go look too i got 23 different patterns for around 30.00 including shipping woooohooo

happy august to you all, dh and i have been working around our house here where we call house 2 so much to be done and we are getting alot done but will have lots of work to do for a lonnnnnnnnnnng time lol a few days ago here in washington state(as well as many other places im sure) had record breaking heat into the 100's the hottest it was at our other house was 110 thats right my friends 110 degrees i about died from the heat i had to have the ac on in the car and sit in the shade when we were at house one but felt bad for the kids as they needed help keeping the kittys hydrated they did not want to eat much or drink because of how hot it was but they and we (humans) need to drink more when the heat index is so high thank the good lord it has come down to a normal 80 something that i can handle thankfully here at house 2 we have ac in as dad had a heat pump put in last fall and while he did not live long enough to enjoy it we sure as heck have enjoyed it right now is a balmy 77 degrees out and are loving it outside is still close to 80 so am sitting in here online besides the mosquitoes are HUGE and vicious this year i had bites that were so big it took me a week to get rid of them

dh dd and myself went last week down to the beach at ocean shores we stayed at a nice motel which ended up costing us almost 150.00 a night so we stayed one night besides which i could not lay down in the bed anyways i didn't sleep worth a darn dd slept on the sofa and while i would have gladly done it she wanted to sleep there so while she had a awful night on the couch i had a awful night in the bed who knows maybe we should have switched hehe here are some pictures of our trip i hope you all enjoy them and am glad to see you all reading please leave a comment if you read my blog i am sorry been so long in between posts have had some puter problems and also just super busy and dh is on vacation oh joy hehe hugs and love ya all enjoy the pics now vicki

hey ya all how ya doing my friends, sorry been a bit since i posted been ubber busy with life and all that goes with it hubby starts his vacation soon and not sure when will have chance to post for a bit so thought before he does i would make sense? even a little? oh goodie lol

not sure what we are going to be doing but he has a whole 5 1/2 weeks yippee skippy can ya tell im excited? REALLY? cause im not and to be honest i don;t know what the heck i am going to do, i just know we will tear the heck out of each other lol.
am working on a comfortghan for his cousin michael who has cancer and is undergoing another round of chemo, this poor guy has had his fair share of problems so please keep him and his sister maryjo in your thoughts and prayers for cancer to hit one member is bad enough 2 is almost more than auntie can handle from both of her kids to have to go through, i made maryjo a comfortghan but am still working on michaels. luckily they do not know my blog addy bewahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

hi everyone i hope this finds you all doing well, i have been having one of those weeks that are just dragging on and on and on. sigh

we still have not heard back on dh vacation time, i don;t know if i posted this before or not but will again and if you read it once please forgive this tired ladies posting but this just ticks me off something fierce. see here is the situation the forman who is my husband and the one with almost 40 years under his belt has first choice of the time he wants off for vacation, then here comes this jerk who has 5 years at best but is a special needs person demanding he get that time cause he always has had it that way. and the boss is saying we are both going to have to give which is BS should be dh and if they don;t then will go ahead of his boss and file a grievance with the union if nothing is done then we are suing for that please keep good thoughts for him we sooo do not need this stress on top of everything else and especially this year with dad passing away we need the 6 weeks off in a row to just relax

been crocheting on a new doily not going to show it as the person whos it is for reads my blog and i don;t want her to see it ahead of time , i know she probably already knows its a doily as i asked her what she wanted and thats what she said but its going to be soooo pretty

hey ya all how are ya tonight? i am so darn tired i can hardly stand up. got the attic all cleared out and went threw most of it all alot is going to be sold or given away to charity we have sooooooo much stuff i am amazed how much stuff there is will maybe have a yard sale or go to the swap meet

with my new stash of all the bright colors from yesteryear(lord u never knew there was so many pretty colors i seldom had more yarn that what i was doing the stash was non existent and i was busy raising my kids anyways. now im finding these wonderful greens and purples hot pink for year could not find hot pink anyways am going to make myself a afghan with these bright colors and black for the borders will be beautiful i might use the chappel i think is called hat for it i have it in a afghan book or might do a flower one either way will be very pretty OR i might just make sq of my own design and lots of colors switching around who knows

i was so happy to help enid with her sq for her sil patty they turned out really nice so am double happy to help her. she is such a sweetie we need to go to lunch or something when we both have time.

i miss talking to my friends online as i have been sooo busy but now i have internet i can chat at night too. is hard going back and forth between the 2 houses but well is what i have to do so i do it

hey ya all thought i would pop in and say hello, i finally have internet access in the house we are living in now is sooo wierd having 2 homes and is killing me paying bills on 2 places not sure what we are going to do i know it can't go on indefinetly, am hoping one of the kids move in here although i really dont mind during the summer as i am very much enjoying the air conditioning in this house

i have been busy crocheting things i recently made a baby blanket and a pair of booties for a friend of my sons actually a fellow teacher who has had a hard time carrying a pregnancy to term, she had 4 miscarriages and this one is cooking in the over good lol which means its a good thing as the baby us fine and healthy and hopefully in a couple months she will deliver a healthy baby girl here is a pic of the blanket.i know it looks like a giant granny sq but it isn't it has bobbles in the pattern all across the 4 sides she loved it and i hope you enjoy it also

the weather has been so nice here, no rain for almost 3 weeks so got to get out there and water more want a green lawn not brown sigh

speaking of yarn i scored so good at goodwill today i could not resist, got almost 50 skeins of yarn for 12.00 how cool was that. this lady looks at me and says did you take ALL the yarn i said yes i did. for those prices how can i turn it down going to resell in my etsy shop or share with some of my friends

its almost all worsted weight there was a couple skeins of 100 % wool but i sent those to keesha as she can use it also now i take turns between kathy and keesha speaking of both your packages are on the way girls wooohooo can;t wait for ya both to get them

tomorrow we will be working in the attic trying to get everything out of there so we can go through the stuff and decide what to keep what to sell and what to get rid of by giving away. THEN once we get the house done we will be going to the storage unit mom rented over 20 years ago when i think of the money they spent on this place it kills me 120.00 a month times 12 months times 20 years thats 1440.00 X 20 the mind boggles me thats $28,800.00 enough to build a triple car garage and for what all stuff that will most likely be sold ot given away sigh

last weekend we planted lilies and dahlias along the fence line the next door neighbor wanted to know what we were planting i said lilies and dahlias you should have seen his face i said no worries the lilies are only 2 feet high he frecently planted some blue berry bushes and huckleberry bushes and was worried about the sun being blocked. he don;t have to worry about anything lol i want to get busy on my quilts soon too need to find time to make them i am making one for a special friend who has undergone a huge amount of problems and she needs a pick me up i have been so blessed having so many good people i can call friends while i can;t say i know everything about them i do know the ones i care about would do anything for me as i would for them life is good you know it when you have someone telling you how much they love and care about you like i said am very blessed love you all take care and be blessed by your own wonderful friends. it takes a friend to know a friend and you all are mine and i am so thankful for you love ya catch ya later hugs and love vicki

hey ya all, stopping by to say hello, and to brag about my score today hehehehe, sooooo first i went to goodwill at one place nada nothing good at all, so then hit the freeway and went to another one, no yarn but they did have 7 cool afghan leafets, oh before i get ahead of myself i also went to joes which is a sporting goods/auto store here going out of business and scored for my dh a awesome pair of 3 ton jackstands these go for almost 60.00 i paid 6.00 SCORE!!!!!!!

anyways then went out to the other goodwill and they had the afghan leaflets got them for a buck nice huh and inside of it was one for the american and national league football teams crocheted pattern for afghans SCORE!!!!!!!!

so then stopped at michaels as i wanted to see if they had their new yarn nope but they DID have some awesome clearance sales. so i got 6 skeins of patons 100% merino wool yarnfor 1.99(those are already spoken for)

11 skeins of sugar and cream self stiping cotton yarn in the shades of pink for 79 cents a skein SCORE!!!!

also got 2 skeins of red heart softie yarn and a skein of red heart sport yarn 99 cents SCORE!!!!!!

also i got 3 skeins of red heart the big skeins of worsted weight acrylic yarn i need for a project 99 cents each grand total 30.oo SCORE the merino wool alone goes for 6.00 to 7.00 a skein and its the prettiest yarn but as i said already spoken for.

not up to much tonight getting ready to head back over to dads house for the night am tired and hungry and want to get something to eat soon.

am working on some sq for a dear friends sil she has been diagnosed with a nasty disease and she is making her a comfortghan so i am helping.

hi everyone its the weekend woohooo, things are moving along but is a slow process, saw and hired a attorney yesterday to deal with probate. just not getting any help from anyone who could and should but just would not give us the names of the forms we needed to do it ourselves so now we are out 2000.00 sucks but thats life i guess sigh

it looks like its going to be a beautiful weekend, i can;t wait to get outside and play in the dirt although can't do much of it with my back but will be fun hehe.

watching the news tonight is heart breaking, general motors is shutting down over 2000 dealerships i just don't understand how they think this is going to help them, if the higher up employees like the ceo actually did give a rats behind about their employees and the american people THEY would not take their bonuses or salary increase. its just frustrating how bad this economy is, i am very dissapointed in the new administration and the promises they made. like we are suppose have seen a increase in our paycheck? we lost 600.00 and why? who the heck knows, i can guarentee that is not because we are rich by any way shape or form we get a discount on our property taxes because of my disability and our income yet they took 600 more out. thanks president obama now i have more debts than money that reallllly helps me out alot. now i must find a way to stretch the money even farther sigh

oh and another rant i am soooo pissed off i sent my friend a over night package as she was having surgery today which by the way anyone who knows who i am talking about she came through with flying colors anyways back to the rant

i overnighted her a package as i wanted her to have it before she went in today the idiots who were suppose to deliver it didn;t even knock on the door and they were home just left the note on the door OMGOSH was so angry luckily her dh was able to track her down(the mail carrier) he filed a complaint there and im going to file one here too. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

son just called and is buying some more plants wooohooo so excited.

i feel so bad for him he is going to lose his job in june because the school district where he works does not want to pay out of their reserves . he has a very very slim chance of getting something but odds are very slim please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

this is a subject very dear to me as one of my best friends has this disease and it has recked havoc on her body she is a young woman still and while i am not going to name her she knows who i am talking about.

please educate yourself about this disease. it can be herditary and passed on to your future children

hi guys just wanted to update a bit things are still really crazy here still working on getting things done from when dad died and i can tell you its not fun this stupid government wants nothing but money money money and they have it set up so no lay person can do it only a attorney. we tried to file probate ourselves NO ONE wouold even tell us if it was the right form so this week we are meeting with a attorney and going to cost us almost 2,000.00 for it sucks in my opinion anyways thats the heres and theres for been doing a small amount of crocheting but am so darn tired i don;t even feel up to that tried to knit socks OMG was that hilarious NOt will try it again when i have more energy hugs to you all vicki

i want to take a moment to thank all who have been so kind to our family during our time in need, as most of you know my father in law passed away april 15th 2009 we miss him so very much and are very thankful for the time we had with him. i want to thank everyone for their words of kindness and caring that you all who have been here for me, i thank you from the bottom of my heart. i will be back asap and updating my blog as soon as possible. its so very diffucult for me as many of you know i have become very close with my fil during our many doctor visits ect we spent together. i realllly miss him alot and i can honestly tell you that i am very blessed having known him and loved him and had that returned. i hope you all take the time to spend with your family as time goes by very fast life is so very short. godbless all of you love ya my friends vicki

today was very stressful dad could not even walk and i had to help lift him up into the wheel chair then wheel him across the bumpy grass and into my car was so very hard for me to do hubby is taking off time tomorrow to take him to doc he was pissed i didn;t call him so he could have helped but i worry about his job too its not a good situation there at all so is the lesser of 2 evils ya know. i learned my lesson today there is no way on this green earth i can do what i did today am in so much pain i can hardlt stand it it sucks low on meds too so thats not helping have a great day today love ya all

well i guess its about time i logged in and posted a few things not doing much busy with dad i feel so bad for him i wish i could do more please pray for him or send him good thoughts he can use any and all of them so from our family to all of you thank you for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.

today was a beautiful day omgosh was almost 70 degrees out where yesterday was in low 60;s and froze last night come ON winter go away for heavens sake.
been crocheting scrubbie dishcloths and will be listin some in my etsy shop soon i am going to list a few right now just for you to see and then if there is a particular color combination you want let me know i am sure i can do something for you i love mine they are so nice to use with the dishes. also am thinking of making a package deal with the scrubbies and dish clothes, anyone interested in that let me know i don;t charge much 2.50 a scrubbie or we can make a package and save a little more maybe depending on what you want, ok now on to other things

life is pretty stressful here for us dh when he don;t understand or can't do what he needs to do lashes out at me which while is not fair nor am i taking it i makes me understand but what i DON'T understand is why everyone picks on me with my meds. io mean good lord if you all hurt like i do you sure as hell would not be giving me advice to do other things people just don;t understand and no teapot not talking about you we already hashed this out. i just need to get this off of my chest. because this is such a important part of my life i feel the need to talk so please no one take offense nor think i am mad at any of you bnecause its not true what is true is i need to educate people. when one lives in such horrible pain that it hurts to breath then would you deny them some relief? say oh meditate or bio feedback or some other stupid thing that will not help, it hurts me more than anything to know people i care about and love don;t understand. i know those meds as any meds (including booze or tobaco can cause alot of problems (i don;t do either) there is such a stigma about narcotic pain medication, let me ask ya a question , if your mother was diagnosed with heart disease would you not want the docs to give as much comfort as possible or diabeties or any other illness would you not want your loved one to have decent care and relief? then why is there such a stigma about taking pain medication, and for those who think what about a pain clinic all i can say is been there done that 5 long times that only cost me hundreds of dollars for them to sit there and say nope your fine nothing wrong with you when all the while i am one whisper away from being paralized and confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life but would that be better than me taking strong meds? why do people assume that if you take these medications you become a drug addict? nothing can be farther from the truth, i do not have cravings i do not ephoric highs and lows. all i get is a bit of relief. and as for the bastards who give me a hard time in the handicap spots get a frigging LIFE go play in the freeway as my mom always told the neighbors kids who were constantly at our house. course there was no freeway close so was not going to happen. is just a saying, regardless back off stupid before I create a major scene, and have no worries i will if you accoust me again kk stepping off my soap box vicki
